Secondary tank install including remote Bakki shower
In this video i install a Quarantine tank that is connected to the main pond so not ideal for quarantining but the idea was to get the Bakki shower into the garrage and the easiest way to do that was for the water to flow through another tank so we decided to make it so the tank was big enough to actually put fish in if required because why not.

ProfiDrum motor replacement
Переглядів 1,7 тис.2 місяці тому
Never changed a motor on a Profidrum before but this one unfortunately packed in so I had to replace it and couldnt find a viable alternative like I did for the Oase Drum filter so had to replace it with an original motor and Gearbox

This video is of me using a siphon system to supply water to a profi drum and the setup of the drum and pond to get it partially working before a tank is installed in the adjacent garage to run as a quarantine and catch the water from the bakki shower

This video shows me removing my QT tank it was a lot worse than i expected and it's pretty amazing it didn't just fall to pieces. The reason it help up so long was probably due to the thick fiberglass.

From green to clean adding a UV

I finally put the UV light back on the tempory pool and it took about 14days to be perfectly clear which would have been quicker if i hadn't broke the filters screens.

That pond looks way overstocked
Wow, that filter is disgusting

Did you have to put fresh bacteria into your filter? I can only assume that much tap water would have killed off a load of it.
Please give me 8 baby Koi's 😭
Thanks so much very useful information
Is that a dead fish on the bottom around 9:37
Couldn't you put the solvent weld 4" 90 underground and the flexi boot at the top?
That's what i wanted to do but the bottom pipe that i had bent was out of alignment so when i put the solvent weld 90 on it looked strange and went off on a funny angle only slightly but it made it a bit difficult.
Where do you drain the ponds without flooding the yard?
Nice update mate.always like your videos.😊
Glad you like them!
Another great video, really enjoy them thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it! Thanks 🙂
I always enjoy your videos and seeing what you're up to and for giving me ideas on possible changes for my pond filtration. Looking forward to the next video.👍🏻
Glad you like them 🙂
Nice update of your set up! Thanks👍
Thanks 🙂
More mate 👍👍
Great to have an update Adam 👍🏻
Thanks 🙂
Adam do you sell your koi online???
I do sell them if your ever in Rotherham, South Yorkshire
@AdamJulyan I'm in North Wales so to far mate.
If you want to live longer you should stop trailing 240v extention cables in the water. You only get one proper electric shock ? ALL THE OTHERS ARE WARNINGS !!!
I know it's a shocking habit 🙂
I only keep and breed tetras, but this makes you want to build a pond
I'm sure tetras would enjoy a big a pond 🙂
❤
Long time no see mate 👍🏻
Excuse me sir, you have fish swimming around inside your house! 🧐
Very valuable advice so ignore it at your peril! Enjoyed looking at your fish again. Thanks
Useful video. These pumps are unreliable but I agree that cleaning them thoroughly makes a difference.
Very beautiful fish! Well done!
Question: you still got the superfish pumps? Mine keeps turning off. When I open it it is really clean. Got it replaced twice under warranty but still it stops.
Yeah ive had two pack in of about 8 ive had and they both just stoped and wouldn't run again. Ive also had a few that wouldn't run because blocked and just too much stuff stuck behind the impellor although didn't look blocked they ran better once cleared out. They are good pumps for the price although I won't run them on my main pond.
@AdamJulyan thanks. Under warranty I now receive the rc 15000 next. That's the new version. Hope that one will work better. Gone get it thursday
how to you wire it into the house mains?
Just asking ? why are the windows in backwards,
So you can open them from the outside becasue you can't get to them from the inside.
Great stuff Adam, best wishes, Tony😀
I remember when you put the fry in. Has it really been a couple of years?!
Bruh your indoor pond probably cost more then my entire house.....
You made that look easy sir n dint need a towel lol,, cheers Terry,
Yeah I was surprised aswell.
I bought all my fry(250 about 1 inch) from cuttlebrook and only had a problem when my pond failed they are nice fish had mine about 5 years some of them have made it to 2 foot the rest are at least 1 foot I have also bought fish from CarpCo that were 2-3 inches and again amazing fish I would love to have the space you have to buy more fish absolutely love just watching them the videos you put up have helped me alot so keep it up and thank you
Thanks for sharing..very interesting
Great suggestion on having separate circuits on the pond for the water pump, air pump, etc. I've done that for years now so if the water pump circuit trips the air keeps running and vice versa. Having everything on plugs rather than hard wired is also a much better idea. Here in Canada 99% of our pond related products all come equipped with plugs so connecting them is a no brainer. I'm guessing the reason is that our power supply here in 110 or 115 volts where as in the UK (I believe) yours is 240 volts. Looking forward to your next video. Always something interesting at your place.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah it can make life a lot easier having everything on sockets the main reason lots of pond things don't have plugs is because all the companies want you to buy their expensive switch box. Yeah we run 230-240v in UK it makes life a lot easier for ponds but slightly less safe.
nice video keep them coming
Coooool
love it ponds are that much of a headache that you have paracetamol on hand and at quick access not even pondlyfe is free of wire spaggetti lol good seeing an update Adam keep up the good work he says as he breaks down a monster fish tank and down sizes lol
Great video , thanks for sharing 👍
Really interesting video Adam! Loved seeing the fish!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always great to have an update on all your fish 👍🏻 You are so right about when things go wrong, it's often in the early hours, wet etc Easy to swap air pumps, pumps makes life so much easier at 2am !
Thanks Glad you like the video. Yeah that comes from a lot of experience of 2am repair jobs
Been there, done that Adam, although you kept dryer than me. I got absolutely soaked, mind you, the tank was a lot bigger and I didn't realise at the time the amount of pressure in the bottom drain. So much so, when I undone the drain cap (to let it just seep out), it shot off, knocked me over and got me soaked, whilst everyone stood around laughing lol. Nothing more satisfying that a good reorganisation/refresh of the system. I hate them switch boxes too, so have a bank of plug sockets, so much simpler. Have a good week mate, nice to hear what you are getting up to. Have a fab week bud. 👍
Yeah I was absolutely amazed it went so smoothly usually it doesn't go well especially if I'm filming. Thanks hope you have a great week too.
How much where are u located
Hi Adam I have just picked up a used unit Have you any idea how to get it to maintain a set temp ? If I switch it on and warm the water to say 22 degrees using the heat selection it takes it up there and switches off but never kicks back in to maintain the temp any idea I can’t work out the settings button at all it just seams like codes in there Thanks Mike
do you think its possible to have parasites in dryed meal worm ?
It's probably quite possible thay aren't for human consumption so you have no idea of the conditions they have been produced and stored in however the chance of it being a parasite that can effect fish I think would be extremely slim.
you need to explain ,, you have VERY GOOD filter system... and not everyone should put tthis is aquarium..... and wash very deeply orange to remove pesticide....
Some very nice fish.
Hi Adam, always enjoy your videos, what do you do with all your fish? I noticed in one of your videos you seem to have lots of Chagio’s, if your ever want to sell one please let me know as I believe I only live down the road from you in Maltby and been after one for ages for my pond.
nice motor! also what camera are you using?
Adam, keep the videos coming!! You really helped me In my own koi adventures! We need more! You were one of the of the original tommys
